Orchids was one of the best restaurants we experienced during our recent stay in Honolulu. The food was excellent as we'd expect for the price tag, but the service is what made Orchids stand out. From beginning to end, the staff were helpful, kind, and went above and beyond to make the meal feel special. 5/5 would come back next time we're in town.

Beautiful presentation of breakfast. Scottish (smoked salmon) Benedict and three-egg omelette were delicious. Service was very attentive.
Also dined at Orchids' fabulous Sunday Brunch in a lovely ocean view setting that includes every brunch item you would ever want -- and more!

We've had dinner at Orchids many times, but haven't been back to Hawaii in three years. We had their famous Sunday buffet brunch and dinner on our last night and it was absolutely superb...just as we had remembered! Their seafood is always consistently fresh and prepared masterfully! Highly, highly recommended. Make reservations and ask for ocean-side seating. The amazing food, ambience, gentle tropical breeze, and stunning sunset will make for a truly memorable evening!

A very romantic restaurant. Total attention from the staff. Nice wine selection at various price points. The Hudson Foie Gras was delicious as was the octopus & coconut cake. From beginning to end, our dinner was perfect.
The breakfast service is also top notch. A Japanese centric breakfast is also available.

Best Sunday brunch on the island and probably the best buffet I’ve ever been to (beats the Wynn buffet in Vegas by a long shot)! My family and I loved the sushi bar/chef, the meat section and the snow crab legs/oysters. Everything tasted so fresh and the views/ambience was absolutely gorgeous. So many families were taking photos on the courtyard between Orchids and House Without a Key. Recommend making reservations as early as possible, I did mine 2 months early and time slots were already getting filled out. Also, if you’re driving, recommend using the hotel valet and letting them know you have reservations, don’t forget to get your ticket validated if you want valet to be free!

First time at Orchids, went with one of my friends who makes it a habit of going here every time he visits Waikiki and it lived up to everything he said about it.
First of all the seating at a beach front setting is just beautiful. The warm night breeze on this particular night was just so comfortable and gorgeous. Everything is open to the ocean. The attention to service is outstanding by all the wait staff.
I started off with the lobster bisque, then the Sea Bass (I asked the waiter what type of fish they had since it can vary) and finally the coconut cake and a café Americano. The lobster bisque was so thick and creamy and very flavorful. The Sea Bass was very tender, seasoned and very moist, with just the right proportion. I am not much of a dessert eater but the coconut cake was not overly sugary or too soft, but just right. One thing I really appreciated was the presentation of all the foods and how it was not rushed in. The highest of appraise to the talented chefs, and the quality ingredients that were used, the outcome is in the taste, of course.
Some tips: call ahead of time for the oceanfront seating, I was here on a Wednesday so I just called a few days before and was fine, but I’m told that sometimes they are sold out. It is casual, but you will see a lot of people that are nicely dressed, so you can dress nicely. I took a taxi to and from to the Halekulani Hotel where Orchids is located at so I don’t know about parking. I did not wait too long to be seated, you check in to the maitre d and wait in the lobby, which is also nicely made up and comfortable.

Came back to Orchids for the second time after our first visit last year, and it was just as wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was attentive and gracious. Everything came together to make our honeymoon dinner truly special. We also enjoyed great champagne and red wine, which perfectly complemented the evening. A memorable experience we will definitely cherish.

We had dinner here in 2024 when we first visited Hawaii. We made a reservation close to the sunset and the view and the foods were so delicious if you are looking for a fine dining restaurant. We wanted to visit it again this time but there were no available reservations and it was a bit pitty. I recommend to make reservations earlier for the hot seasons. Hope you enjoy!

Orchids’ Folded Banana Ricotta Pancake features sautéed bananas gently wrapped in a fluffy pancake. The ricotta served alongside adds a light, refreshing richness, keeping the dish beautifully balanced—comforting yet refined, and easy to enjoy from the first bite to the last.
The Traditional Benedict is a classic done right. Served on a muffin and topped with spinach, bacon, and a perfectly poached egg, it’s simple, elegant, and deeply satisfying without feeling heavy.
Set in a bright, white-toned, oceanfront open-air dining space, Orchids offers stunning views paired with a relaxed sense of sophistication. The warm and attentive staff make you feel genuinely welcome, and the restaurant’s graceful yet comfortable atmosphere turns the meal into a truly enjoyable and memorable experience.

Elegant fine dining. Made a last minute reservation in person and Jaylissa was an awesome hostess. She found me a great table at the seafront with a view. Chris was an excellent waiter and an old hand at the business. Experienced and knowledgeable.
I had the lobster bisque to start followed by the grilled octopus and the signature coconut cake for dessert. The cortetto was a delicious finish. Everything was delicious and the whole experience was memorable.
